• Of course it can but for a Server you might want to get WD RED NAS drives they are made for NAS and RAID assuming you are using the drive for storage or application data.

• Yes, but I would never trust this particular WD product for anything important like a server because my experience has shown me it WILL fail. In fact, I am convinced from several bad experiences with this product that the failure rate is unacceptably high. Recommend Seagate instead.
