if your dell is currently running a ssd drive that is sata compatible then this ssd should work for you
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This drive should be compatible with all windows Vista through 10 computers. If your computer dose not boot to your current c drive you have to set CMOS to boot to your DVD drive and use a genuine windows bootable install disc and install to the new SSD drive. If it boots to your current drive then install ESUS partition software in windows and clone the drive to your new SSD then use the softwares OS migration feature to make the new drive bootable. Remove the old C: drive and boot to the new drive. It took me all of 15 minutes to perform this operation on my intel s5000 based computer with windows 10. Best of luck. The WD 1TB is a super fast boot drive and my system is rock stable. AJ Dagger

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi MaryC, WD Blue SSDs are available in either a 2.5”/7mm cased or an M.2 2280 model to evolve with smaller and thinner computers. With form factors to accommodate most laptops, desktop PCs, and small form PCs, a WD Blue SSD is ready for the job. Moreover, we would recommend you to please contact to your motherboard or computer manufacturer. Need Help? Please see our "'Contact Us" page for information
