• The hard drive doesn't care what operating system you put on it. Keep in mind, the new Microsoft will attempt to up grade your operating system, for security.

• If you have the Windows 8 installation CD then yes you can install Window's 8. Make sure to boot from the CD and follow the install prompts to install Window's 8 operating system on you Hard Disk.
