• Laptop drives are 2.5 inch hard drives. Usually between 9 and 14mm thick. I would go with an ssd for a laptop. It increases the performance so much its rediculous! Cheers!

• No, the desktop unit is physicall much larger. You need a 2.5" laptopunit. The desktops are about 3x5" whereas the laptop drive is only 2.5" wide.
