• It should work. Most laptops from the time frame yours was made usually have a 2.5" HD as the standard. Any drive thats listed as 2.5" should work

• Most definitely. Just about any 2.5" SATA drive will work great. You might want to bump it up to a WD Black or a SSD to get more performance to match the i7.
