• I installed it on a HP Pavillion g7 entertainment model. It fits in either drive bay. Installs easily with 4 screws. In the second bay, a longer connector cord is required.

• Almost certainly. Hard drives are commodities designed to fit virtually any computer (a laptop in this case). Only question: Does your laptop use Serial ATA (or "SATA") connectors? Or the (much) older EIDE/IDE interface? If it's SATA, you're good to go.
