• Yes can be used for PS4 just got get a universal HDD adapter to usb 2.0 or 3.0 for the PS4 to recognize the HDD.

• Definitely will not work in a PS4. This hard is 3.5" hard drive. Which would be too large for PS4. You will need a laptop specific hard drive. I would recommend an SSD hard drive. Much faster than a mechanical hard drive. Hope that helps
