• Yes and No. Old W10 HP 17 but with a failed HDD. Pulled the HP HDD and installed in a HDD case. HDD worded in a case but in the Hp Laptop the HDD failed. Got this HDD 2 TB installed and Windows 10 installed automatically on this new 2Tb HDD. W10 is tagged to the Laptop and not to the HDD. So I did not have to install W10 after connect to WiFi MS re installed the Laptops W10 OS.
