Purchased this to replace the mechanical hard drive in my son's 2018 Marvel Spiderman PS4 system. Installation is easy and the end result is that it is absolutely much faster than the factory hard drive. Keep in mind you will need to format this hard drive and you will need to upload the installation software onto the hard drive from the PlayStation website. The simplest way to do that is to upload the software from Playstation onto a USB flash drive using a computer and then plug in the USB into the PS4 when prompted while you are in Safe Mode option 7. It's that simple.
