It works with my Tablo Quad 4 with no built in storage. It's my understanding it will work with the Tablo 128GB . After connected it records to the new storage but you can watch already recorded shows from both storages. If you have the Tablo 1TB the internal drive will have to be removed before it recognizes the external drive.
