yep, I've used this drive on Ubuntu 19.04 with no issues. Inside is a normal SATA HDD so all the drives functionality is there.

You may or may not need to install exfat-utils based on the distro you use for the latter format. You can also format it to ext4 or other Linux exclusive file systems if you don't need compatibility with other OSes.
