This will work with a PS4 but keep in mind the PS4 can only see up to 8TB of external storage so any drive larger than this limitation would not be a practical choice.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The PS4 docs say "Minimum of 250 GB and a maximum of 8 TB capacity." It is likely that it would only format a partition to 8TB and the rest of the drive would be lost since PS4 only recognizes one external partition. Sony could potentially add support for larger drives, but I doubt there is much pressure to do so at the moment.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was able to get an 8TB to work in my kids' PS4. However, he has had to reload the system several times. For some reason, the entire setup would reset. This forced him to reload everything. The problem was putting the PS4 into rest mode and not a full power down. In rest mode, you could have power outages or something that would disrupt the system. So the practice is a complete power down. If you use this for the PS4, go look at some YouTube videos first and then try it. Good Luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, this will not work for the PS4.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes, however this drive is not 12tb. it's shows only 10tb even after deleting the partition, re-partitioning and formatting.
