Is this an SMR or Shingled Drive? null

No, the drive in this is basically a DC HC550 which is a CMR. If they ever include the 20TB disk in these, the DC HC650, that one is SMR.

not familiar w/ SMR or Shingled Drive terminology. please explain. architecturally, it's a sata to usb. i've used a lot of them over the years. i'd avoid the mycloud product as it has serious network connectivity issues
