• Hi GODISGOOD, In order to create a backup and restore it on a different location you may use the WD Backup software enabled in WD Easystore drive. • Just connect this drive to your old laptop and drag and drop your files from your old laptop to this drive. Then, connect this drive to your new laptop and drag and drop them from this drive to your new laptop. Very simple and quick! And you'll have a backup copy (always a good idea).
