We use ours for games with our XBox One S and have had zero problems with it. It was recommended by the staff at Best Buy as an option that he actually uses with zero issues and we would agree. It should do fine with your pc games also.

That said, any major party high FPS title will suffer the additional bottleneck between this external drive and your USB controller. If you decide to go this route use your fastest connection port available. A high speed NVME enclosure and stick will give better performance if you have Thunderbolt 3/4 available.
