“I have a Lenovo laptop nothing else, would I be able to use this? I want to store games on it but I don't have enough storage on my laptop, so I thought maybe I could get this and download the games onto the USB & whenever I want to play the games, I can.”

Yes, that should work. It may be a bit slower to load than from the internal hard drive (or SSD), though.
