“Can this hard drive be partitioned? I'd like to place 3 partitions on the drive, each used to place a clone of my internal hard drive, giving a chance to have 3 cloned drives for backup.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If I understand your comment correctly, that would not provide you with 3 back ups. Three partitions on the same drive would likely all fail if the the drive itself failed. If just a few sectors failed, then you "MIGHT" be OK! Three separate drives would make a better practice.
