• The units I received had either the WD Red WD40EFRX drive or the WD Blue WD40EZRZ drive. Both have a 64MB cache and are 5400 rpm.

• The drive is a Western Digital Red 4TB so it is 5400 rpm. For western digital Red you need the pro version of the HD if you want 7200 rpm.
