Will this work with a Samsung book? null

It should work nicely with it. If you don't have a full sized USB port, you'll have to get the converter that makes the USB-c female port to a USB A (full sized port.) I use mine with my old Samsung laptop with the Acronis back up software to back up the system in a more regular manner. I got a nice deal on the Acronis software with a three machine license for an extra $30.00 (US) with my existing license on one system. It should work quite nicely for storage of extra large files and save space aboard the Book.

It's worked with everything I've hooked it up to so far. Even an old Android tablet I got 7 years ago. As long as you have an operating system that will access the size drive you get and an available USB port it should work. Even a USB 1.0 likely would work only really slowly.
