• Hi Dan, The WD EasyStore desktop hard drive is designed to be used with Windows or Mac computer. We have not tested and will not recommend connecting this drive to a mobile phone or iPad7. • I do not believe it would work, since it uses a USB 3 interface. It has to be hooked up to a Mac or Windows PC, or some type of storage server. For the ipad I use a thumb drive with a lightining connector.These are limited to 64-256gb normally though
