There is a setting on the Xbox One under Settings - Storage. It lets you "turn off storage when console is off"
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. It shouldn't be a problem if you unplug it while not in use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think it should be a problem. But I think it's best to get a portable external hard drive. That way, you can leave it plugged in and not worry about it. There is only one cable for power and data. If you're Xbox is off, your hd should be off as well. Model: WDBKUZ0020BBK-WESNSKU: 5792402
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If the drive doesn't wake up when you power the Xbox then you can just unplug the usb cord from the back of the Xbox and plug it back again and it should work. Plugging and unplugging the USB cord will have no effect on the drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Turn off after the Xbox is turned off and turn on before starting the Xbox.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but shut down the xbox first so there is no action going on between it and the hard drive. Then turn off the hard drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.
