It sounds like you need a new internal HDD for your computer. Buy an external for "backup," but beware that an external hard drive can fail just like any other mechanical device. What is best for you? Depends on your needs. how much storage space do you need? what kind of connection are you using? How will you access the data?

Please try again later.I would certainly pickup this 8tb easystore drive along with a samsung solid state drive. use the solid state for operating system and then remove the drive from the easystore usb case and install it as secondary drive for storage. The drive in the easy store is a heavy duty commercial grade NAS drive and normally cost around $300.00 alone. best drives there are. Good Luck.
