I have used it to connect my xbox one to store all my games and downloads to it. Works great thus far.

Plug it in Add to devices format for the system Then transfer games The internal hdd will be for game saves The external will be to the games !!!!!!!!Just remember to shut down the hard drive first before you Shut down the system (stupid xbone don't do that) or could Corrupt hard drive !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I haven't used an external hard drive with ps or xb but you can try hooking it up to a pc first to partition it into 2 drives then let the consoles format 1 of the drives for it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Haven't tried it yet, but I asked the guys in Best Buy that exact question and they told me both PS4 and XB1 are compatible to use with it. Hope that helps.
