Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No, this is a common misunderstanding. Think of memory as higher octane gasoline, and a hard drive as a file cabinet. Would a file cabinet make your car faster, or would high octant gasoline do so? Adding more memory can certainly speed up your system. One caveat that breaks my analogy is that using an SSD instead of a hard drive can also significantly speed up your system. Try going to Crucial's website for more help.
