“The 8TB HDD was sold at Best Buy as "Best Buy Deal of the Day" for $139 with a normal price of $149. Three years later the HDD has a normal of $175.99 and on sale at Best Buy for $159. Shouldn't electronics "decline" in prices with time, not increase?”

Im not a wiz on all types of devices but recently bought this hard drive! I did some research and found that the good ol fassion “supply and demand” conversation is the culprit for these devices increasing in price. Everyone wants more storage today. Everything is getting smarter and requiring more storage space. The demand is high so the price goes up. Same with toilet paper and masks in crazy events. I’d say it’s still worth it if you really need it.
