• Yes you can show pictures and video files...but you must have a newer tv that supports 2.0 or 3.0 usb. Even some older smart tv's don't work with them.

• Yes, if you have a TV with a USB port on it. Or if you have a computer with USB that can connect to the TV through an HDMI cable. You have to change the TV to the USB or HDMI input port.
