“Does the box for this product state that the external hard drive is compatible with XP computers?”

I assume we are speaking of Windows XP Operating System. The answer is Yes. Any system that uses NFTS formatting, which is just about every PC made( I don't know about Apple or MacIntosh). The real question should be does your PC use at least USB 2.0 as a usb connection port standard?

Only information I found was it works with Windows or Apple. You must choose which formate.

NO,on the box it states under compatibility Windows 10, 8.1, or 7. We are using it for a ps4 though and it didn't list that either. You might be okay, I would talk to someone at Best Buy.

It only says on the box compatible with Windows 10, 8.1, or 7. Reformatting required for Mac OS.

I dont think it will work, the box says that it is compatible with windows 10, 8.1 and 7.
