Plug it into the USB 3.0 port (Blue) for max speed. It's backward compatible to USB 2.0.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't know your specifics, but I do know they're not universal. A patch cord was needed for my new Mac. Best Buy clerks gave the wrong info. Two hours on the phone with Apple confused the issue. The cord manufacturer finally figured it out and the Passport does a fine job as a backup drive.
