• Yes. This an any USB 3.0 external hard drive can be used as additional storage for the PlayStation 5 (and Xbox Series X/S). However, you can only use the drive to play PlayStation 4 games. Games designed for PS5 must be run from the system's internal drive. This is the same for the new Xbox Series X/S systems - only Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Original Xbox games can be stored and run from the USB 3.0 drive. Xbox Series X/S games must be run from the internal drive.
