“With not having a power cable, can this be plugged-into my home network WiFi router as a backup drive?”

Hi Karit10, Thanks for showing your in WD My Passport external hard drive. This drive won't work as network attached storage. This drive is a plug and play external hard drive. As you mentioned that you have not received the USB cable, for that contact to place of purchase. Depends on your router. It has to have a POWERED compatible USB port AND support external drives as Network Attached Storage. I havent researched if anyone makes one but I'm guessing someone does
