Hi Arlene, The My passport hard drive is designed to be used with Windows or Mac computer. We have not tested and will not recommend connecting this drive to a mobile phone. No, you would need something akin a flash drive that also has a lightning adapter on one end for it to work, like the following: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/pny-duo-link-on-the-go-64gb-usb-3-0-apple-lightning-flash-drive-metal-gray/6033300.p?skuId=6033300 Also, the power requirements for the drive and it's default formatting (NTFS in this case) do not allow for it to be accessed from many phones and tablets.
