will this work for dish hd receiver? null

I'm using it on my Dish Wally receiver, and it works fine. The light on it blinks constantly. I don't know if that's normal for the hard drive on these units or not, but so far it's working fine.

I don't believe so as many of the satellite providers add security so you can't pull/download video.
