Yes, it should not be a problem using it on more than one computer. Were you able to verify that the file was actually saved to the drive?

I'm no expert, so I would save yet another picture file on it (perhaps even several in a folder & everything) with unique file names & then when it's connected to that other computer & says no file, begin a search of the drive for that unique name. Please note that data may not display if you're using the password function on the first computer but not on the second (but I would think you already know that).
