• Yes it does. You just have to plug it in and then follow the on screen instructions to configure the drive for the PS4. Once that's done the system will automatically start saving data onto the drive

• Yes, it is compatible with the PS4 Slim & PS4 Pro. I bought the 2TB WD My Passport X. Games are downloaded to the external HD while "game saves" are saved on the internal HD.
