- Answer 3.5 WD Blacks are 7200RPM. The 2.5 portables are 5400 RPM. They don't make anything that is 7200RPM and is only 2.5" in size.

- Answer There's no way this is 7200 rpm like the top answer says, supposedly 4 tb 2.5 7200 rpm drives don't exist. It's a 5400 rpm, I just bought one and am gonna take it back. They market these as their "fast" line, but then purposely do not advertise the rpm of this drive anywhere.
