• No... it doesn't have the same connection as a regular mini hard drive does. It's soldering is to a connector plate. You would need to get the version that's for internal installation, such as the ones that you use on a Playstation.

• Yes but why take time to disassemble?? Just buy a cheaper internal WD Black HDD and hook up via a sata data cable with faster transfer rates. This is meant for a quick hook up via USB cable with controller card inside the case to communicate via external plug n play cable. Don't pay for a controller card and just disassemble and not use it.
