“We live just outside of Cell range. Occasionally I can pick up minimal signal in the yard. Would this product work if we are just outside of cell range? I wasnt sure if it only strengthens an exsisting connection.”

The weBoost Home MultiRoom will only strengthen an existing signal. If you are sometimes able to find a signal outside your home though, you may be able to get the antenna dialed in to the nearest tower with some additional height. We would recommend going with the strongest signal booster we offer at Best Buy, the Home Complete which comes in a DIY (#6355244) or Professionally Installed version (#6405723) for the best possible outcome.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There has to be a signal present for the system to be able to amplify it. You may be able to mount the antenna up high and find enough signal, even though your phone may not have signal on the ground. An app like "Cell Mapper" works great for finding out how good of a signal you have and which direction the nearest tower is, so that you aim the outdoor antenna in the right direction.
