I believe so. It has caught viruses on zip drives I inserted into my laptop.

Dear Andy; Yes, Webroot will attack and quarantine viruses and malware. Do your scan and see what it finds. That's what it does best. You may also want to use Malwarebytes for a "second doctor's opinion" about the health of your machine. Combining these two forces together, hackers are not liking this much.
