I do and it works great. Is if a fire Hazzard?......maybe.

No. It plugs directly into a wall outlet. It is not a fire hazard as long as you use it properly.

This device is simply an outlet extender that has an interface that let's you talk to it using your phone or Google Mini, Alexa, etc. You could plug a hub INTO it, but it has to be plugged into an outlet. You can connect wirelessly to it and it uses your home network.

It's a simple plug with a button on the side, you should be able to plug anything into it. I use it for a lamp in the living room, so when I get home there is light.

Depending on what type of hub you are trying to plug into it the device will simply act as a remote on off switch. The product has to pass a consumer protection rating system in order to be sold in the US, so to the best of my knowledge the product is not a fire hazard unless you personally are negligent in your use with it.
