• Yes, you can tell Alexa to turn or off, or you can do it on your phone in the Wemo or Alexa app.

• In theory, yes, but in practice, no. The developers completely screwed up all smarthome compatibility, so the app is the only thing that will work...and often that won't, either.

• You can set it up thru both, I use my Alexa App to control my lights

• Hi, KaraG. You should be able to control the Wemo Mini with Alexa or Smartphone. Make sure to enable the Wemo skill in the Alexa app to link the Wemo Mini.
