“Can I play movie/video files using the USB port on the TV using a USB HDD (not a USB flash drive)? If so, what video file formats are supported?”

• based on its big brother and most other tvs it will not play a HDD, it only has .5 amp service and the 40" states only flash memory. I could not get the 40 in to play any mp4 files, though it recognized AVI files, I would not plan on using this as a media player
