Yes you can. I actually hit this feature by accident. I couldn't see the menu buttons on the screen to revert it back and got nervous at first, but was glad I was able to change it back with minimal effort. However, the sound on this TV is not spectacular, so if you're intending on using it often for audio only, I'd look elsewhere.
