Actually this model tv does not have that feature - at- least not that I've come across. However if you have a newer version of the apple tv, I've seen it so that the remote can be programmed to control the tv - however I've not noticed it with this tv. If it is an option perhaps its called something else and needs to be enabled in the settings. From what I've read about HDMI CEC each brand likes to name it something else to make it sound special, as if HDMI CEC wasn't enough. However I suggest you play in the settings of your apple tv perhaps the remote for the apple tv can control your tv as well.
