• It should work with any cable box or game console. I have Comcast cable, Apple TV, and my Wii hooked to my tv.

• As for as the Xbox question, YES. My Xbox 360 is hooked up to it thru the HDMI port. Any current console will work on this TV thru HDMI or component hook up. The Diish should be the same as well.
