• A google search came up with three pages of people having the exact same problem with this tv, so it's clearly a design flaw that makes it more complicated than necessary.

• I don't have this tv yet (ordered) but I imagine you don't change the channel, you change the Input (probably has 3). Look for an input button on the remote.
