“Do you know what remote control code is used for comcast/xfinity to make the comcast remote work with it. It has been suggested to use rca codes and toshiba, both without luck. I've tried everything, even the 'i don't know' method.”

I'm sure you've answered this by now but this page will walk you through finding the correct code. https://www.xfinity.com/support/remotes/ For the X1 platform the code is 11712.
