Yes. You can use any cable/satellite box with this. It says you can get rid of cable because it’s a smart tv and you can get most stations through an app now.

I PERSONALLY HAVE SPECTRUM AND I DOWNLOADED THE SPECTRUM APP ON MY ROKU AND IM ABLE TO GET ALL THE CHANNELS THAT I GET OFF MY CABLE BOX ON THIS TV WITH OUT THE CABLE EQUIPMENT. NOT SURE IF DIRECT TV HAS A ROKU APP, BUT IF THEY DO YOU DONT NEED ANY OTHER EQUIPMENT ON THIS TV TO WATCH YOUR DIRECT TV CHANNELS.
