• The remote is pretty bad. Sensor is on bottom left. The TV needs to be at or above line of sight and you need to aim left. Roku Ultra remote found the corret code easily.

• Try ensuring there are no electronics near the receiver. The remote was driving me crazy until I moved my Apple TV box away from the IR receiver and it fixed the problem.

• The remote only works when you point it to the right side of the TV because that's where the IR reciever is. My universal also picked up the code after the 4th set of codes so I think your issue may just be the Comcast remote.
