“What is the top and shelves constructed out of? Does is scratch easy? If someone were to put a glass on top and a little water got on the top, would it ruin the finish like it would with particle board and cheap laminate?”

Hi RMK1212! This unit is made of PB and paper veneer; the use of coasters is recommended as well as immediate clean up of liquid spills.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not scratched the finish yet. It is a thick particle board. If you put some glass over the top it would work fine. I have not tested the finish with some water yet.
