“Hi, I'm thinking of using this for a much older 34" HDCRT TV (KD-34XBR960) that will almost fill up the hole top shelf & will like to know if the weigh is done from the center. As this TV will go over the max listed weigh by 60lb.”

This TV stand is meant for lighter TVs. You can really tell that when you put it together. Most of the steel structure is thin and hollow. I wouldn't put a lot of weight on this.

Please try again later.While the weight limit of the stand is 135 lbs (twice the weight of the Samsung 65" LED TV), the information coming with the cabinet specifically says it should not be used for CRT televisions. I would respect that advice and not put a CRT TV on it. The stand is quite sturdy and stable, but I wouldn't want to even come close to the 135 lb rating.
